The Game: Two little white robots represent assorted economic woes, and they drain your cash rapidly if they catch up with you. The object of the game is to come out with the most money left at the end of the two-player game.

You couldn’t really do anything about the robots. (Magnavox, 1979)

Memories: A bizarre little maze game purporting to be a somewhat educational game about economics, Take The Money And Run! really only managed to be a bit confusing. Take The Money And Run!Take The Money comes down on the “tainment” side and still tries to convince the consumer that it’s educational. In the end, this would’ve made a better game of tag – but even there, a better game came along in the form of Monkeyshines!.

2 quartersMaybe it’s just me, but I never quite “got” this game. It would be a couple more years before a decent maze game was made for the Odyssey², and almost two decades before someone made a good, Berzerk-style maze shooter for this platform.
