Raymond Scott‘s experimental electronic music album Soothing Sounds For Baby, Volume 1 is released. Created entirely on electronic instruments and sequencers of his own creation – decades ahead of the widespread use of such equipment – the LP is a series of somewhat repetitive instrumentals which will supposedly help infants sleep better. 
The Raymond Scott album Reckless Nights and Turkish Twilights, a collection of remastered archive recordings of Scott and his 1950s jazz combo, is released.
Basta Records releases Manhattan Research, Inc., an album of experimental early electronic music and classic radio advertising jingles written and performed by Raymond Scott (1908-1994); vocals (both sung and spoken) include performances by his wife, Dorothy Collins, and pre-Muppets Jim Henson. The music on the album is played by instruments and early sequencers that Scott invented himself.
Basta Records releases Raymond Scott Rewired, an album of remixes and mash-ups of the music of bandleader and electronic music pioneer Raymond Scott (1908-1994), ffeaturing remixes by the Bran Flakes, Evolution Control Committee, and Go Home Productions.
Modern Harmonic releases The Jingle Workshop – Midcentury Musical Miniatures 1951–1965, an album of classic radio advertising jingles written and performed by Raymond Scott (frequently with vocals by his wife, Dorothy Collins). The album includes jingles played by both traditional instruments and entirely electronic pieces, both with and without vocals, and features a book of extensive liner notes.
