Narada Records releases a CD of Star Trek: The Next Generation composer Jay Chattaways’s music from the PBS documentary series Space Age. Though more percussive than his Star Trek scores, the documentary soundtrack bears strong similarities to his work on the hit science fiction series. 
GNP Crescendo releases a CD of Jay Chattaway’s soundtrack music from original Star Trek: Voyager television series, presenting the score from the two-hour pilot, The Caretaker.

Soundtrack specialty label La-La Land Records releases a limited edition 3-CD set featuring selections from various Star Trek: The Next Generation episode soundtracks. With the exception of two short tracks, none of the music on this set – which spans the entire seven-year run of the series – has been released before. Music by Dennis McCarthy, Jay Chattaway, John Debney, Don Davis and Fred Steiner is included.
La-La Land Records releases the four-CD Star Trek: The 50th Anniversary Collection soundtrack box set primarily featuring music from the original series and The Next Generation, along with new works by Ron Jones and the premiere of a reconstructed selection of music from the 1970s Star Trek animated series.
On “First Contact Day”, La-La Land Records releases Star Trek Collection: The Final Frontier, a 4-CD box set collecting frequently-requested and previously unreleased music from Star Trek: The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Voyager, and Enterprise, as well as premiering new recordings of unused Jerry Goldsmith music from Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The label claims this is their final Star Trek CD release, which proves to be somewhat inaccurate.
