Stardate not given: Having lost a leg in battle, Nog returns to DS9 with his new biosynthetic one. Although the leg works perfectly, Nog is walking with a cane due to the psychosomatic pain he feels. His friends and family are concerned as Nog withdraws from them emotionally, choosing to take his medical leave in the holographic world of Vic Fontaine. Will Nog retreat into fantasy for the rest of his life?
