The LieutenantLt. Rice is blindsided by a request from a fellow officer to defend him at a court-martial hearing. Lt. But other witnesses place Allison – and his car – at a nearby bar on the night of the accident.

Notes: Already a familiar guest star on American TV (and rapidly becoming a movie star in his own right), Andrew Prine would get a chance to guest star in Star Trek, but not until after Roddenberry’s death; he guest starred in The Next Generation (Frame Of Mind) and Deep Space Nine (Life Support), both in the 1990s. The two-week gap since the previous episode is almost certainly due to the planned November 23rd episode being pre-empted by news coverage of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22nd, 1963.
