Aside from writing a number of seminal novels in the genre including “The Lemon Eaters”, Mr. Sohlalso wrote The Corbomite Maneuver episode of the original Star Trek series, as well as installments of Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits and Alfred Hitchcock Presents. He was also a member of the “Green Hand” collective of golden-age SF writers (including such august members as Rod Serling, George Clayton Johnson, Robert Bloch and Richard Matheson) who threw their lot in with the fans to save Star Trek from cancellation by NBC after its first season.
