Latest Gene-ology podcast

  • Gene-ology 73 - A Man's World

Listen to Gene-ology 73 - A Man's World Welcome to Gene-ology, a podcast by Roddenberry Entertainment that dives deep into the early TV writing works of Gene Roddenberry. Twice before, the Joan Crawford Show was piloted - would the third time, with a pilot written by Gene Roddenberry, have been the charm? Ashley and Earl find a lot of charm and a considerable…

In the battle between vans and cars, there can be only one winner. It's probably not me. The obscure arcade maze chase that is Van Van Car goes for a test drive with Phosphor Dot Fossils.

Phosphor Dot Fossils ( http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/ ) is one of the web's oldest archives of vintage console, computer, and arcade games; there was also a 2-DVD documentary of the same name, covering the early history of video games, produced in 2008 and 2009. And these days? PDF aims to bring a more laid-back, less-caffeinated, less-profanity-spewing experience to the retro video game longplay video.

Basketballs - IN SPACE! The animated #LadyRazorbacks basketball open, circa late 1995, was a combination of leaving me alone with the Video Toaster on overnight shifts, trying to do something unexpected splashy for the last-rated low-power station in town, and an excess of weird imagery and odd rendering limitations.

Music used in this spot was "Chain Gang" by the Art of Noise, from the album Below The Waste (1989).

Infinite Sheep is a series of reminiscences (usually short) of life in the last days of analog, locally-owned broadcast TV and radio.
