Season 10 SG-1 Stargate

Dominion

Stargate SG-1Adria finds Vala in a bar somewhere in the galaxy, trying to cheat her way to a cargo ship. Vala tells her that after information she provided about the possible location of the Ancient repository led SG-3 into a trap, the IOA decided she had been compromised. They planned to remove her from the team and imprison her to prevent her from divulging information about Earth’s defenses, but instead Vala stole a personal cloaking device and escape the SGC. Adria wants to follow the lead Vala has uncovered – but when they arrive on the world in question they find SG-1 waiting with the anti-Prior device. The tables are turned yet again when Ba’al’s Jaffa beam down to the site and take Adria for themselves.

Back at Stargate Command, Vala learns that her memories of her dismissal from the team were a fake. When the team learned that Adria had returned to the Milky Way, Vala volunteered to have false memories implanted with the Galatan device in order to lure Adria into a trap. SGC’s plan was to try to convince her to order to Ori army home, but that quickly takes a back seat to retrieving her from Ba’al. SG-1 learns that the Ba’al clones are gathering for a summit – but when they arrive they find the clones and many Jaffa dead from symbiote poison. Ba’al has apparently decided to eliminate the competition, but one Jaffa who lacked a symbiote is able to give SG-1 Ba’al’s location.

The team is able to retrieve Adria – but not before Ba’al takes her as a host. SG-1 considers its options. One is to simply kill both adversaries on the spot. But the team decides to adopt a more ambitious plan: they enlist the Tok’ra to remove Ba’al and implant a Tok’ra into Adria, who will order the Ori army to leave the galaxy. But Ba’al is not interested in giving up his prize, and injects Adria with poison. The Tok’ra surgeon says that Adria is dying, but she has enough strength left to pursue a fallback option – one that could leave her even more powerful than before.

Season 10 SG-1 Stargate

Unending

Stargate SG-1Gen. Landry and SG-1 travel on the Odyssey to the new Asgard homeworld, where Thor makes an announcement. The Asgard have been unable to reverse their physical deterioration, and they will all soon die. They have chosen to end their civilization in one stroke, but before they do, they want to pass their entire knowledge base and technology along to Earth, as a way of preserving their legacy. Earth is ready to take its role as the fifth race.

Before the proceedings can finish, Ori warships attack. The Odyssey‘s new weapons are able to destroy one ship as the Asgard homeworld explodes. But every time the ship leaves hyperspace, the Ori are waiting for them. Landry and SG-1 decide to make a final stand and beam the crew to a nearby planet in order to take the stargate home. Before the final shot can destroy the ship, Carter activates a time dilation field that, from their perspective, brings events outside the ship to almost a standstill. She figures that this will buy her time to find a way to save the Odyssey and the Asgard technology, or at least their lives.

The task proves more complicated than expected. Even though she develops a matter converter that keeps them all fed and supplied with oxygen, she can not find a way to ensure their survival. Decades pass. Mitchell begins at impatience and makes his way to stir-crazy. Daniel and Vala begin a relationship after a heated argument breaks down Landry passes away. Finally Carter reveals that she has figured out how to reverse the time field and disengage the Asgard technology that is broadcasting their position to the Ori – but they lack the power to implement it. Mitchell suggests that they harness the power of the Ori blast that has been moving slowly toward them for fifty years, and Carter believes it may work. But one member of SG-1 will have to remain old in order to tell the team what to do, or they will simply repeat their experience over and over again.

Season 3 Stargate Atlantis

First Strike

Stargate AtlantisThe starship Apollo arrives from Earth, and Colonel Ellis immediately pulls Dr. Weir, Colonel Sheppard and Rodney into a closed-doors briefing. Recent surveillance flybys of the Replicators’ planet have revealed that they’re building a fleet – and Ellis has arrived with order from Stargate Command to mount a first strike and take that fleet out before it can move against Atlantis or Earth. The Apollo’s mission appears to be a success, hitting the massive shipyards on the Replicator planet with nuclear weapons, but a circular satelite with a stargate at its center emerges from hyperspace in a geosynchoronous orbit above Atlantis, firing a beam that begins to weaken the city’s shields. As Rodney hatches a plan to buy more time by submerging the city again – the same way the Ancients did to escape the Wraith – Dr. Weir begins to question her future, worried that in every crisis, her decisions are second-guessed by the military. Sheppard and McCay finally realize that Atlantis needs to rise again and find a new home planet, if the city has enough power left.

Season 4 Stargate Stargate Atlantis

Adrift

Stargate AtlantisWith the city roaring through deep space after its escape from the ocean planet, Rodney races to shut down systems that aren’t helping Atlantis during flight – but are draining its power. The city’s new chief medical officer, Dr. Jennifer Keller, is fighting to save the life of Dr. Weir, critically injured during the city’s takeoff, but it quickly becomes clear that even if she’s kept alive, Dr. Weir may never be the same again. The Atlantis expedition and its commander are lost in deep space – and with an asteroid belt in the way and the city losing drive power, deep trouble too. Running out of medical solutions, Dr. Keller comes up with an idea to reactivate the nanites left in Weir’s body by the replicators, and Rodney thinks he can reprogram them to repair her injuries – but Sheppard refuses to okay the plan, worried that the replicators will be able to track the crippled city by detecting the nanites. Rodney and Keller implement the plan anyway, but even Weir herself isn’t thrilled with the results. And at the Midway space station connecting the Milky Way and Pegasus stargate networks, Colonel Samantha Carter receives word that contact has been lost with Atlantis. With Dr. Lee of the SGC, also at Midway, she begins trying to locate the wayward city…

Notes: Rodney mentions that he was terrible at the video game Asteroids; obviously he can’t access Phosphor Dot Fossils from the Pegasus Galaxy, we would’ve been happy to help. Yee Jee Tso, the actor portraying the technician who alerts Sheppard to the asteroid belt, is best known in SF circles for his one-off stint as Chang Lee, one of the eighth Doctor Who‘s only TV companions.

Lifeline

Stargate AtlantisWith Atlantis a safe distance away from the homeworld of the Replicators, Rodney modifies a jumper for hyperdrive, and with Sheppard, Dex and the miraculously revived Dr. Weir, goes on a mission to steal a fresh ZPM for Atlantis. With Replicator nanites – reprogrammed by Rodney – keeping her alive, Weir now has a unique connection with the Replicators’ entire city that proves to be a strategic advantage. But when Oberoth detects a new presence interfering with his fellow Replicators, he personally intervenes, eventually breaking through Rodney’s countermeasures. If Weir’s team is to make it out alive, she may have to make a supreme sacrifice – and Sheppard isn’t sure if her survival might not be worse than her death.

Tabula Rasa

Stargate AtlantisRodney McKay is a hunted man – he just can’t remember why. He’s on the run in Atlantis from a group of armed soldiers led by Major Lorne, as they systematically sweep through the city, subduing everyone in sight. Something has affected the memory of nearly everyone in Atlantis, and more serious symptoms are making themselves known as well, meaning that there’s a time limit on finding a cure…but Dr. Keller is also affected. On McKay’s palm, two words are written that may be the key to saving everyone: “Find Teyla”. There’s just one problem – nobody seems to remember who or what Teyla is.

Missing

Stargate AtlantisWhen Teyla and Dr. Keller go to pay a fairly routine visit to a resettled village of Athosians, and finds the entire village deserted except for one survivor, it seems that the Wraith are once again on the move. The sole survivor of the village claims the the Bola Kai, a brutish sect of Wraith worshippers, betrayed the Athosians to the Wraith. When the Bola Kai appear, they are indeed brutish, and Teyla reminds the terrified Keller not to divulge any details about Atlantis’ existence. Keller tries to send the Bola Kai on a wild goose chase to the wrong gate address to buy time for Sheppard to realize they need backup. But as Teyla and Keller try to escape, they discover something shocking about the surviving Athosian…and Keller has an even bigger surprise for Teyla when she examines her wounds from the ensuing fight.

The Seer

Stargate AtlantisStill searching for the missing Athosians, Teyla decides to consult a man named Davos, hoping that rumors of his abilities as a seer are true. Indeed, when she joins Sheppard’s team to travel via stargate to meet Davos, his people are expecting the Atlantis team and already know them by name. But his daughter, leading the welcoming party, warns that Davos is very ill. In exchange for his help, the services of Atlantis’ infirmary are offered. Also arriving at Atlantis is Dr. Woolsey of the IOA, observing Colonel Carter’s command for a report back to Earth. When Davos begins to deliver visions of a climactic battle that doesn’t end well for the city, Sheppard, McKay and Carter begin second-guessing themselves as they try to determine how to use the information Davos has given them. And all the while, as predicted, the Wraith close in on Atlantis…

Sheppard’s fellow escapee, who happens to be a Wraith, appeared in Common Ground. Teyla’s pregnancy was written into the fourth season’s storyline to explain actress Rachel Luttrell’s real-life pregnancy.

Miller’s Crossing

Stargate AtlantisStuck on a particularly problematic part of reprogramming the Replicators’ nanites, Rodney is left with only one solution – consult with someone at least as brilliant as he is. In this case, that means his sister. But shortly after Rodney’s sister Jeannie e-mails a solution back to Atlantis, she’s abducted on Earth. Rodney, Colonel Sheppard and Ronon return to Earth via stargate to take part in the investigation, but a strong lead in the case turns out to be a trap for Rodney, and he too is kidnapped. Rodney finds himself in the clutches of Henry Wallace, billionaire owner of a private medical technology company that has some very peripheral dealings with the Stargate program. But Wallace knows just enough to know that Rodney and Jeannie hold the key to the Replicator nanites, and may be able to save his dying daughter. But Rodney knows enough to know that even if they succeed, it won’t end there.

This Mortal Coil

Stargate AtlantisA drone smashes into an uninhabited part of Atlantis, and when Rodney runs a diagnostic on it, his laptop is shut down by Replicator nanites. An accident during a sparring session with Ronon leaves Sheppard with a head wound, but by the time he reports to Dr. Keller, it’s healed – and the doctor seems to have no answer as to why. Ronon, Sheppard, Teyla and Rodney meet, admitting that they each have noticed something “off” about their surroundings. As they investigate their suspicions, Keller, Major Lorne and apparently everyone else in the city turns against them – everyone except the miraculously revived Elizabeth Weir. But even Weir seems to be as in the dark as they are. Eventually, Keller explains that the four suspicious crew members, plus Weir, are organic facsimiles of the original human beings, grown by the Replicators to try to learn how human beings descend. Furthermore, these aren’t Oberoth’s Replicators, but a splinter group; Oberoth’s Replicators are busy wiping out every human-inhabited world in the Pegasus Galaxy in an effort to starve the Wraith of potential food sources. When Oberoth’s Replicators do find them, though, Weir may have to sacrifice her life again – the original Weir having been killed months ago – so her comrades can escape.

Be All My Sins Remember’d

Stargate AtlantisUsing the device given to him by the rogue Replicator in the form of Elizabeth Weir, Rodney discovers that the hostile Replicators have ramped up their ship-building program dramatically. Daedalus and Apollo are summoned to begin tactical strikes against the Replicators’ ships, while Rodney – and his captive Wraith “assistant” – race to create a software solution to the increasing Replicator threat. But despite early successes, the two massive Earth ships prove to be ineffective when the Replicators fall back to their current base of operations. Two unlikely allies emerge – Rodney’s Wraith and Sheppard’s close and personal friend, the rogue Replicator named Laren – to help in the fight, but victory depends on Rodney creating a new Replicator of his own to act as a “super-magnet” to draw the Replicators’ nanites into an uncontrollable mass. And somewhere between Rodney creating a new, self-aware Replicator and the attack on the Replicators’ homeworld, victory has unintended consequences…

Quarantine

Stargate AtlantisAlarms ring and bulkheads slam shut throughout Atlantis, signalling an automatic defense system: a deadly virus has been detected within the city, and everyone is to remain isolated where they are. Rodney, about to propose to his girlfriend, suddenly finds himself useless in the effort to find out what’s going on – and unfortunately, Colonel Carter and everyone else seems to be assuming that Rodney is somewhere at a computer terminal, fixing the problem, which looks more and more like a false alarm. Sheppard takes matters into his own hands, smashing through a window and climbing the command tower all the way to the top, but when he breaks another window to get in again, another automatic quarantine protocol kicks in: one which will destroy the entire city in a matter of minutes to present the “disease” from spreading.

Stargate Stargate Origins

Part One

Stargate: Origins1928: A massive circular object, fashioned from stone and metal by advanced technology, is unearthed at an archaeological dig in Giza, Egypt, its purpose and origins unknown.

1938: Professor Paul Langford’s study of the unearthed artifact has run aground – he’s run out of funding, a German colleague has returned to Berlin without a word, and his daughter Catherine, who has been part of the study from its beginning, will soon return to the United States to take a job at a museum. Whatever the circular behemoth’s secrets are, there’s very little danger of them being found out with Langford’s project running out of steam. Just when it seems things can’t get any worse, agents of the German government arrive, claiming to know some of those secrets already.

Stargate Originswritten by Mark Ilvedson & Justin Michael Terry

Cast: Ellie Gall (Catherine Langford), Aylam Orian (Wilhelm Brucke), Philip Alexander (James Beal), Sarah Navratil (Eva Reinhardt), Derek Chariton (Heinrich), Justin Michael Terry (Gunter), Lincoln Hoppe (Stefan), Connor Trinneer (Professor Paul Langford)

Stargate OriginsNotes: The cornerstone of the Stargate Command stream-on-demand service, Stargate Origins is a new web series derived from events recounted in The Tormant Of Tantalus, a first season episode of Stargate SG-1. Though that episode (and thus the character of Catherine Langford) was written by Robert C. Cooper, the credits of Stargate Origins indicate only that the series is based upon the original movie by Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich. This is the first new Stargate project to go into production since the 2011 conclusion of Stargate Universe. Connor Trinneer is no stranger to the Stargate franchise, having played a recurring villain in the Stargate Atlantis spinoff series; he’s probably better known for his role as Chief Engineer Charles “Trip” Tucker on Star Trek: Enterprise.
