Adventures in the Sin Trade – Part 1

Xena: Warrior PrincessIn her grief over Gabrielle’s death, Xena seeks out Hades, god of the underworld. He tells her that Gabrielle didn’t come to him when she died and asks if she was part of a religious order. The warrior realizes that Gabrielle’s status as an Amazon meant that she went to the Amazon land of the dead. Hades says that he can’t help her there because he doesn’t even know where that is – but Xena does. Leaving Argo behind, she sets off for the Amazon Land of the Dead. On the way, she’s haunted by visions from her past, and hears Gabrielle’s voice calling for her.

Adventures in the Sin Trade – Part 2

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena begins to prepare the young Amazons she has befriended for the upcoming battle with Alti. She names Yakut as the new shamaness for their tribe. Alti has plans of her own, and calls forth the spirits of those she has captured to send after Xena and the Amazons. Xena has to fight her new friends, then helps them to rid themselves of the spirits. They continue on their search for Alti, but Xena soon realizes they are headed in the wrong direction. She realizes that Alti must be in the place where the Amazon dead are sent on to Eternity.

After Xena has told the Amazons more about her past and her encounters with Alti and Cyane, the evil shamaness takes control of a spider. She first makes Xena see Gabrielle, then changes to herself demanding to know who the bard is. Xena tells her that she represents what can defeat Alti. The warrior finally manages to rid herself of the spider, before falling unconcious.

A Family Affair

Xena: Warrior PrincessAs Joxer is leaving flowers at the place where Gabrielle disappeared with Hope, Xena grabs his arm. She has been searching for evidence that Gabrielle is still alive. Joxer doesn’t believe her, but he follows her to Poteidaia.

In Poteidaia, the two friends are reunited with the bard, and then learn that a man was killed by some creature just outside the village. Xena and Gabrielle return to the bard’s family’s home to set a trap for the creature. When it appears, it ignores Gabrielle and attacks Xena. The duo manage to escape it and head for the house. The creature retreats when daylight comes. Xena tells Joxer that the creature is Dahak’s grandchild, and that the person they thought was Gabrielle is really Hope. She plans to use Hope to kill the Destroyer.

Xena: Warrior PrincessWhile trying to locate Argo, Gabrille has contracted foot rot, and Xena has lice. But that’s only the beginning. They encounter Joxer, who tells them that he was hired to protect a village. He shows Xena a knife that belonged to one of the attackers. She realizes that the attackers are Scythians. Joxer takes over the job of cooking for the trio, and ends up giving Xena and Gabrielle food poisioning. Now they have to deal with upset stomachs along with their other problems as well as trying to find a way to stop the Scythians.

The magistrate says that her crime is that she danced. So Xena and Gabrielle, with a little help from Autolycus and Tara, work to bring about changes in the village.

Locked Up and Tied Down

Xena: Warrior PrincessWhile taking a break from their journey, Xena and Gabrielle are attacked by bounty hunters. They have a warrant to arrest Xena for the murder of a young woman that was committed some years before. The warrior agrees to go with them, and gives Gabrielle her chakram. During the trial, Gabrielle defends her friend, but the warrior says nothing for herself. The judge sentences Xena to life in prison on Shark Island. After Xena has been taken away, Gabrielle begins to plan a way to rescue her friend.

Crusader

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle encounter a warrior woman, Najara, who is on a quest similar to theirs, fighting for the greater good. The bard is intrigued by Najara’s talk of the way of the light. Xena thinks that her friend might be better off staying with Najara, and plans to leave her. But when she meets the warlord that Najara has been tracking, she learns what Najara is really all about. She goes to the village where Najara plans to set up a hospice to confront her.

Past Imperfect

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena has finally told Gabrielle about the vision of their death, but the bard believes that it’s not necessarily going to happen. When Xena tries to leave her behind while she goes to warn the village of Actis that an army is approaching, Gabrielle insists on joining her.

At the village, they learn that many of the soldiers that defend the city are ill. As Xena is talking with the commander, the invading forces catapult firebombs over the city walls. During the attack, the commander is killed and Xena starts to remember a similar attack her army waged against Corinth. When the warrior learns that the next in command doesn’t have any battle expirence, she takes charge.

In the infirmary, she notices a nurse feeding men. Xena stops her and tests the food. And as suspected, the food is poisoned, and that is why the men are ill. The warrior realizes that whoever is leading the attack may be someone from her past who is using her strategy. Now she has to figure out who it is – and how to stop them.

Daughter of Pomira

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle are traveling through the area where Xena’s army once fought the Horde. The pair are trying to avoid running into the savages, when they spot a Horde warrior out with three teens. They notice that the girl in the group has blonde hair, and Xena seems to recognize her from somewhere. Suddenly a hatchet flies through the air, hitting the Horde warrior. A man runs to attack the kids, but Xena stops him. Gabrielle finds a Roman sling shot and Xena remembers giving it to the daughter of one of her warriors. The warrior and bard travel back to the village with Milo. There Xena tells Vanessa’s parents that she has seen their daughter. And with encouragement from Gabrielle, she promises to bring her home.

If The Shoe Fits…

Xena: Warrior PrincessAfter capturing a warlord named Zantar, Xena and Gabrielle, along with Joxer are taking him back to prison when an explosion tears a gapping hole in the temple of Aphrodite they are passing. They rush inside to find the goddess of love chastising a girl for getting into a powerful potion. The girl, Alesia, is the seven-year-old daughter of a king who is a friend of the bard and warrior. Alesia tells them that she ran away from home because she believes her stepmother hates her. Xena and Gabrielle try to reassure her that isn’t true, and the bard begins the tale of Tyrella. But the story undergoes a lot of changes when Aphrodite decides she’d like to keep Alesia around – and Zantar’s men are in pursuit.

Devi

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle are enjoying the sights and signs of a village in India when they spot a magician, Eli. They stop to watch his performance, which includes sending his assistant to the heavens. But when he brings her back, she is possessed and tries to kill him. The warrior leaps to the stage to stop the woman. She succeeds in knocking the assistant from the stage and into Eli. Suddenly she goes into convulsions and Gabrielle rushes to her side to try and calm her. When the tremors abruptly stop and a spectre flees the woman’s body, the people began to shout that the bard is a Devi.

Between The Lines

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle interrupt a funeral when they realize that the widow of the deceased is about to be burned alive. They manage to get the woman to her home, but as the warrior realizes there is no escape from there, Naima summons the power of the Mehndi and sends Xena into a future life. In that lifetime, she is an elderly woman, known as the mother of peace. She finds that her enemy in that future is Alti. When Gabrielle cannot find her friend, Naima explains that she sent Xena into her future life to save her from being destroyed by a great evil. The bard insists that Naima send her there to help, and she agrees – but only after she has taught Gabrielle about the Mehndi and how it will help the warrior and bard to bring Alti back to the past.
