Teresa: Farewell To Love!

Star BlazersWith barely a month and a half to return to Earth and mount what may be a hopeless defense of Earth against the Comet Empire’s onslaught, the crew of the Argo prepares to leave Telezart. But Mark Venture has already given up hope – Trelaina can’t be convinced to join the crew, and she stands by her pledge not to use her tremendous powers. Even when she’s told that the Comet Empire will strike at Telezart itself in only three days, Trelaina doesn’t relent…until Venture says that he will stay there with her instead of returning to the Argo. She comes back to the Argo with him briefly, but returns to her planet as the ship gets underway. Wildstar is grateful, knowing how vital his chief navigator is to the battle ahead, but when Venture learns that Trelaina has remained behind on Telezart, he may have lost his fighting spirit.

Telezart: Disperse Into Space!

Star BlazersThe Comet Empire accelerates toward Telezart, anticipating no problem in conquering a planet populated by only one person. The Argo crew, especially Venture, is helpless to do anything but watch as the mighty comet barrels toward the planet. But Wildstar has to calm Venture’s worst fears and use the momentary diversion to escape from Telezart’s solar system and make a head start toward Earth. Trelaina’s warns Prince Zordar to halt his advance, but the leader of the Comet Empire refuses to heed the warning. Trelaina’s response is swift and surprisingly powerful – she literally detonates the planet Telezart, forcing the planet to shred itself in the comet’s path. The crew of the Argo watches in awe from a distance as the Comet Empire emerges from the huge explosion, nearly destroyed and now pushed off of its course for Earth, but still in one piece.

The Decisive Battle: All Ships Combat Ready!

Star BlazersThe Argo warps back toward Earth, desperately trying to join the planetary defense forces before the Comet Empire can put itself back on its heading for Earth. Prince Zordar, already anticipating Wildstar’s mad dash back to Earth, orders an invasion fleet to proceed toward Earth’s solar system. With the Argo still at least another warp away, the defense of Earth rests with Captain Gideon and the EDF’s flagship, Andromeda. Gideon gathers all available ships, overriding their orders from Earth, to cut the Comet Empire forces off at Saturn. In the meantime, Desslock – who has been locked in a prison cell by Princess Invidia – manages to get free, take her hostage, and fight his way off of the Comet Empire and rejoin the few remaining Gamilon ships. No longer worried about Zordar’s mission to take over Earth, Desslock is hell-bent on destroying the Star Force.

Yamato: Collision In Warp!

Star BlazersThe Argo re-enters Earth’s solar system, and Sgt. Knox asks Wildstar to make a stop at the planet Brumis. When Wildstar refuses to let the Marines visit the site where so many of their comrades were killed, Knox and his men try to “borrow” one of the Astro Fighters and start a rumble with Conroy and the other fighter pilots. Wildstar and Venture break up the fight, and Wildstar orders Knox to take a fighter to Brumis to pay homage to his fallen men. IQ-9 accompanies Knox to the planet. But the brass at Earth Defense Headquarters isn’t happy with the Argo’s stopover – the people of Earth are in a panic, retreating back to the underground shelters they occupied during the Gamilon attacks. Worse yet, IQ-9 and Knox discover that the Comet Empire has a large underground base on Brumis – the enemy already has a strong foothold in Earth’s solar system.

Captain Gideon of the Andromeda welcomes the former renegades back to the fleet, and orders Wildstar to take the Argo and several other ships and outflank the Empire’s oncoming fleet of carriers. He also orders Wildstar to make sure that the most direct route of escape for any surviving Empire ships will lead them to Saturn, where the Andromeda and the rest of the Earth fleet will be laying in wait. Courage: The Death Of Captain Hijikata!

Star BlazersThe Earth and Comet Empire fleets mass at Saturn for the decisive battle, but the initial engagements end with heavy Earth casualties – the Comet Empire’s shock cannons are able to literally vibrate the Earth destroyers to pieces before the EDF ships can get close enough to use their Wave Motion guns. Gideon orders a retreat to Saturn, and the Comet Empire pursues, decimating the Earth fleet as they advance. Gideon takes a chance on ordering his ships to hide inside Saturn’s outermost ring, giving Wildstar and the Argo time to attack the enemy from behind. The rear attack forces the Empire ships into the ice ring, where their next attack backfires, giving the Andromeda, Argo and the other Earth ships a window of opportunity to strike back. But the victory is short-lived when the White Comet itself appears, having warped into the solar system. The Argo is among its first targets, receiving damage so critical that Wildstar orders all hands to abandon ship.

Yamato: Strategic Invasion Of The Imperial City!

Star BlazersWildstar heeds the advice of both Captain Gideon and Desslock, launching a two-pronged attack on the Comet Empire headquarters. The Black Tigers attack from the air, while the Argo – with IQ-9 at the helm – plunges into the ocean to strike the vulnerable bottom of the comet. The attack drives the Comet Empire back into orbit, and Wildstar orders a relentless pursuit. A pitch battle is fought between the Black Tigers and the Empire’s stingray fighters, while the Argo takes up a position directly beneath the Empire. Sandor points out a fighter launch door on the lowest point of the comet, and Wildstar forms a team to board the Empire and sabotage their ship from within. Knox and Sandor join him as he flies directly into the Empire’s launch bay, where a close-quarters battle ensues between an Argo fighter squadron and the Empire’s fighters inside their own home base. Sandor is injured during the mission, losing his bionic leg, while Knox and Wildstar sabotage the ship’s main reactor. The Argo crew watches as the comet disintegrates – and then as a huge battleship emerges from the debris, commanded by Zordar and still more than capable of destroying Earth.

But nothing prepares Wildstar and Nova for the surprise of the return of a man who they were certain was dead – brought back to life by a woman from Telezart who was also presumed dead. Horrified that she has returned Mark Venture to the Argo during a kamikaze mission, Wildstar asks Trelaina to take Venture – still only barely alive – to Earth to receive proper medical treatment.
