Star Trek ClassicStardate 2821.5: A shuttle commanded by Spock crash-lands on a savage planet where members of the shuttle crew are in immediate danger from the local life forms. The Enterprise must leave the area as soon as possible to deliver a much needed vaccine to a plague-stricken planet, and Commissioner Ferris insists that Kirk leave the Galileo crew for dead and get underway to the Enterprise’s next destination. Meanwhile, Spock faces a command situation where total logic and rationality may be of no use if the crew of the shuttle is to return to the Enterprise.

The Gamesters Of Triskelion

Star Trek ClassicStardate 3211.7: A landing party beaming down to the Enterprise’s latest stop is intercepted by a more powerful, long-range transporter beam, which hijacks Kirk, Uhura and Chekov to the planet Triskelion, where they are immediately handed over to various “trainers” to prepare them for their upcoming duties as gladiators to amuse the powerful rulers of the planet. Spock orders the Enterprise to warp to Triskelion to save the landing party but doesn’t realize that the powers-that-be on the planet may want to lure the Enterprise crew there to provide them with even more entertainment.

The Eye Of The Beholder

Star Trek ClassicStardate 5501.2: The Enterprise investigates the disappearance of the science vessel Ariel, last reported investigating the planet Lactra VII. After Kirk’s boarding party finds the Ariel intact but abandoned, the Captain, Spock and Dr. McCoy beam down to the planet, where they are immediately detained by the native Lactrans. The Enterprise officers are held captive along with the only three surviving members of the Ariel’s crew, and though Spock discovers that the Lactrans are telepathic, they rebuff his apparently primitive attempts to communicate with them. Spock eventually manages to establish a more productive mental link with a very young Lactran, hoping to get it to bring the crew’s gear back. But when the escape attempt goes wrong, the Enterprise crew discovers that even a single Lactran can assume control of the ship.

The StarlostHaving endured an endless series of life-or-death adventures alongside Devon and Rachel, during which he faced up against threats he could barely begin to comprehend, Garth decide’s he’s had enough: he’s leaving to return to Cypress Corners. Despite the others’ best attempts to convince him to remain with them, he parts company with them and goes his own way…and it seems like he’s barely out of their sight when Garth is accosted by a uniformed man claiming to be a member of a security force on the Ark, something Garth finds unlikely since no such force has ever intervened during the many crisis situations he’s personally seen. It turns out that this security force isn’t native to the Ark itself, but instead comes from outside; the chief of this squad is keen to recruit Garth for his instincts, his sense of order, and his local knowledge of the Ark. As soon as Garth dons his new uniform, however, he’s embroiled in a series of incidents including hijackings, political posturing and the threat of an imminent war – all with the Ark helpless in the middle.

The Troubled Spirit

Space: 1999While most of the crew enjoys a musical recital, something sinister is taking root in Moonbase Alpha’s agricultural area. An experiment in trying to communicate on a psychic level with plant life has disastrous effects for Dan Mateo, one of the experimenters. A strange creature is spotted stalking Alpha’s corridors, accompanied by an almost supernatural display of wind and sound – and Dr. Russell thinks it’s Mateo himself in some other form. When the apparition begins killing off members of the crew, starting with the other plant-contact researchers, dealing with it becomes of prime importance (even though Alan Carter and other members of the crew don’t even believe the creature exists). But can the intruder be eliminated without killing Mateo, with whom it seems to share a psychic link?

Flash GordonFrozen by Ming himself, Flash is in no position to stop Ming from abducting Dale and Princess Aura to take them back to Mongo, where he plans to force Dale to marry him – or she will have to watch Flash die. Among Flash’s allies, preparations are underway to launch a final counterattack against Ming, especially since Vultan has been restored to power. Though Dr. Zarkov, Prince Barrin and Thun are worried about the lack of contact from Flash, their plans must proceed on schedule, and the Hawkmen’s mobile Sky City proceeds toward Mongo’s capitol city. Ming’s forces mount an overwhelming defense, forcing Sky City to retreat; Ming orders his robot fighters to pursue the city before repairs can be conducted. Vultan’s Hawkmen take to the sky to fight off the attack, while Aura sets Flash free. As the Queen of Frigia joins the fight and turns the tide for Sky City’s survival, Flash crashes the wedding and challenges Ming to a duel.

The Horns Of Nimon – Part 3

Doctor WhoWhile Seth and Teka worry about finding an exit from the maze, the Doctor and Romana are more interested in finding what is at the center of the maze, and at the heart of the Nimon’s operation. What they find there is a room full of equipment for diverting immense amounts of power to a matter transmitter. He and his friends then have to hide as the Nimon itself approaches, operating the equipment now that it has the tribute from Aneth to bring his complex up to full power. A pod appears in the transmat chamber, carrying two more Nimon, with more to come. The tributes of slaves and material from Skonnos are merely helping the Nimon’s own invasion plans, which will not benefit Skonnos in any way. Once the Nimon have left, Romana sits in the transmat pod to analyze it, and is accidentally sent to Crinoth, the Nimon’s home world.

Hitchhiker's Guide To The GalaxyArthur Dent’s having a more troublesome Thursday than usual. For one thing, the local council has decided to demolish his house and several others with as little warning as possible, all to make way for a new bypass. To protest this, Arthur lies in the mud in front of a bulldozer which would, without his presence, destroy his home completely. And while that’s stressful enough, Arthur’s somewhat odd friend Ford Prefect chooses this very moment to come along and insist that Arhur must come to the pub with him and imbibe heavily, and somehow – according to Ford – the end of the world figures into the proceedings. Arthur reluctantly agrees, but regrets it soon afterward when he hears, from the cozy confines of the pub, the destruction of his house. But before Arthur can exact his revenge on the bureaucrats who made this all possible, he becomes one of the only witnesses to the destruction of the entire Earth – and the slightly bewildered recipient of a babel fish, courtesy of Ford. As it happens, Ford isn’t from Earth at all, and is a roving researcher for an encyclopedic electronic book known as the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. The spaceship which Ford has managed to use to escape from Earth, with Arthur in tow, has a crew which isn’t from Earth either…and they’re none too pleased to discover that they have hitchhikers aboard.

Doctor WhoIn the twenty-first century, the Doctor tries to show his companions Tegan and Turlough the shape of things to come on Earth. Unfortunately, their arrival coincides with a dangerous buildup of nuclear tensions between two unspecified superpowers, and the TARDIS brings them to an underground weapons platform manned by an edgy crew – particularly crewman Maddox, who has a computer interface implanted directly in his brain to allow him to fire the sea base’s nuclear missiles with a single concentrated thought. Maddox, shell-shocked after months of unannounced battle drills, collapses, leaving the base defenseless. But the base isn’t just prone to foreign attack – the repitile Silurians and Sea Devils, both ancient races which roamed the Earth freely before the evolution and rise of man, plan to launch the base’s missiles, plunging Earth into an all-out nuclear war and destroying mankind so reptiles can once again be the masters of their world.

AutomanThe mysterious disappearance of a local businessman during a trip to the tropical island of San Cristobal becomes Jack Curtis’ latest investigation, sending him to San Cristobal for leads. Walter and Automan discover clues that indicate the disappearance is part of a larger and deadlier pattern of crimes, and travel to San Cristobal to provide this information to Curtis, who is already working with local authorities. But not even Walter suspects that those authorities are not only corrupt, but deeply involved with the crimes…and Automan is too busy discovering the limbo to be of much help.

Left behind after the attempted Dalek invasion, Lytton is up to no good on Earth, but his attempt to curry favor with the Cybermen in exchange for a ticket off of Earth turns into a deal with the devil that he can’t survive. And on Telos itself, a pair of renegade slave laborers tries to steal a Cyberman timeship, and the original inhabitants of Telos, who cannot survive in anything but sub-zero temperatures, enlist help in their own fight against the Cybermen.

Earth: Final ConflictTwo test pilots – subjected to disastrous biological experiments when the Taelons first introduced their interdimensional shuttles to humanity – slip into an astronomical symposium host by Da’an. The men render everyone unconscious with the use of nerve gas and kidnap Da’an, intending to return the Taelons’ grisly favor to their representative on Earth. Doors harbors an ambition to recruit the kidnappers for the resistance, but when Sandoval and others suspect the resistance of engineering the hostage crisis, even Doors orders his followers to kill the kidnappers if necessary. And while in captivity, Da’an is taking steps to relieve his kidnappers of their prize.

Liars, Guns and Money Part 1: A Not-So-Simple Plan

FarscapeStark re-corporealizes slightly worse for wear in the sanity department, but being a little unbalanced has helped him hatch a fairly cunning plan – Moya’s crew will rob a Shadow Depository, a vault for illicit wealth, and use the proceeds to purchase a lot of slaves that includes a thousand of Stark’s fellow Baniks – and D’Argo’s son Jothee. D’Argo is, needless to say, enthusiastic about the plan, while the others urge patience while they try to think of a slightly less suicidal option. For D’Argo, however, there is no time like the present, and he takes a Transport Pod to the Despository – where he is quickly captured. Moya follows him, and the crew learn that Stark planned for his capture – it gives him the opportunity to access the Depository’s new codes. Frustrated at their manipulation, the crew goes along with Stark to save D’Argo; Zhaan poses as a criminal and opens an account at the Depository, claiming that D’Argo was sent ahead to test security. Their deposit includes a smuggled Rygel, who arranges for the contents of another vault to be sent to Moya. As Crichton’s luck would have it, that vault belongs to Scorpius, and when he arrives to check in on his holdings, trouble can’t help but ensue.
