Evan hasn’t been feeling great lately; on Monday, he was running a fever at day care, and there was a bit of a scramble because that’s one of the days that I go to work fairly early. The doctor said he had the flu, and of course even a solitary sneeze is treated as H1N1 these days, so it was Tamiflu time…and Evan had to stay home the whole week, which made my work schedule interesting. Fortunately, he’s got a new friend to help keep him company while he gets to feeling better.
Earlier this year, I got a nice Canon scanner-printer-all-in-1. For those who have bought the Best of CGE ’03 DVDs, this is what printed out the nifty (and ink-cartridge-eatingly dark) covers. Anyway, it’s neat in that you can tell it to scan from the scanning software or, provided the scanning software is already up and running, hit the SCAN button on the unit itself to initiate a scan.

This morning, during what seemed like it was just going to be a routine diaper change, darling son of mine unleashed an event that shall forever be known as the Poopocalypse. Now, I’ve hunted for poopapotamus in the suburbs around Poopopolis before, and I’ve read many times a passage of Dickens calling for decreasing the surplus poopulation, but this was a real game of poop goes the weasel. I’ll admit to having barely hung on to my own breakfast during this one, it was such a mess.
