Hornets’ Nest Part 3: The Circus Of Doom

The Doctor chases the alien hornets back to a traveling circus in 1812, where they have “recruited” new circus performers from the local populace by possessing their bodies. This includes a woman who, under the hornets’ control, becomes a high-wire performer whose cursed dance shoes will someday be inherited by Ernestina Stott. The Doctor discovers that the hornets have made their nest in the ringmaster of this circus, but when he confronts the aliens this time, he discovers that they not only resent his interference in their plan to take control of humanity, but they also grudgingly credit the Time Lord for making their conquest possible in the first place…

Caprica

Lacy Rand is shipped off to train with the STO on Gemenon, but the STO recruits’ ship is snagged by a larger craft in the upper atmosphere and boarded by armed men who seem to be using the STO’s terroristic approach against the new recruits. One by one, hostages are chosen for execution, and nothing – from total capitulation to their captors to professions of faith in their monotheistic belief system – seems to appease the armed thugs. Lacy sees little choice but to fight back.

Daniel Graystone discovers that the Guatrau has been smuggling Cylons off-world – a clear violation of Graystone’s contract to develop them as robotic soldiers for the government of Caprica – to the highest bidder. Sam Adama is incensed when he learns that the highest bidder in question is the STO, and Graystone summons the Guatrau to a meeting on Caprica in an effort to stall for time, offering a discovery big enough to stop the Cylon shipments: resurrection from death itself.

Serpent Crest Part 3: Aladdin Time

The Doctor and Mrs. Wibbsey find themselves locked into a room with vast amounts of treasure, and not nearly enough air to breathe – a tomb fit for a king. A young boy, who identifies himself as Aladdin, manages to find a way into the room and leads his two new friends out of the tomb to safety. The Doctor and Mrs. Wibbsey know “Aladdin” as Alexander, heir to the throne of the Robotov Empire, but the Doctor thinks it best not to reveal the boy’s true identity to him. As the time travelers follow their guide through an increasingly improbable series of adventures, including an encounter with a serpentine creature which is actually his scarf, the Doctor realizes that this isn’t reality, but is instead the illusory world inside the Skishtari egg. He sets about trying to deconstruct that illusion, but he must ensure that he, Alexander and Mrs. Wibbsey can escape it before it collapses.

Ezra goes undercover as Cadet “Dev Morgan” at an Imperial Academy for young Stormtrooper trainees, where he impresses his superiors with his well-above-average reflexes and agility. His real mission is to intercept Imperial information on a shipment of Kyber crystals being delivered to the Emperor. But he also discovers he’s not the only cadet with no love for the Empire, and Ezra decides to make some very dangerous modifications to the mission plan to help his new fellow Rebels…only to come to the attention of the Inquisitor.
