Stardate not given: A reminder of the Millennium Gate biosphere project at the dawn of the 21st century gives Captain Janeway the occasion to remember one of her distant ancestors, former astronaut Shannon O’Donnell, who has always inspired Janeway. But when the captain pries further into the pages of history, she discovers that Shannon O’Donnell may not have been the pioneering hero that inspired a young Kathryn Janeway to join Starfleet, and that her part in the Millennium Gate project may have been very small, yet very pivotal…and certainly not a fantastic feat of heroism.
