Lost Planet of the Gods – Part 2

Battlestar Galactica (original)Forced to flee through a wormhole by Cylon attackers, Galactica arrives at Kobol, the planet which – according to legend – was the birthplace of the entire human race. Adama takes this opportunity to look for clues to the whereabouts of Earth, and Apollo and Serina take advantage of a lull in the constant barrage of Cylon attacks, and get married. But Baltar is only a few steps behind the Battlestar, and when he leads the Cylons in an attempt to wipe out Adama and his crew, a heavy toll is exacted with the loss of the Earth’s coordinates…and the loss of Apollo’s new bride.

The Lost Warrior

Battlestar Galactica (original)Fighting a losing battle in a Cylon ambush, Apollo is forced down on an isolated, sparsely-populated human colony, where lawlessness has set in, forcing the pilot to hide with a widow and her son. The settlement is held in the thrall of an extortionist named Lacerta, who demands tributes from the townsfolk – or else they’ll face a fatal confrontation with “Red-Eye.” Apollo discovers that Red-Eye is, in fact, a malfunctioning Cylon which Lacerta has learned to control. He also discovers that the late husband of the woman sheltering him was also a Colonial Viper pilot…who died trying to rid the colony of the lone Cylon. Apollo’s only hope for escape is to engage in an old-fashioned shootout with the alien.

The Long Patrol

Battlestar Galactica (original)At long last, Galactica leaves known human territory en route to Earth. With the stakes and the danger increasing as the ship ventures into uncharted space, one of the Vipers is modified, affording it super speed at the cost of all of its weapons. Starbuck is assigned to take the point in a long-range reconnaisance flight, accompanied only by a computer called CORA. As luck – or Starbuck’s total lack thereof – would have it, he fails to avoid trouble, falling victim to a prison escapee and losing his ship. While Commander Adama and Galactica’s other pilots try to figure out who has taken control of Starbuck’s high-speed fighter, Starbuck finds himself stuck in a forgotten human prison, where he finds a vital clue to Earth’s location.

War of the Gods – Part 1

Battlestar Galactica (original)An unusual phenomenon strikes the Colonial fleet as unidentified luminescent objects – which could be vessels or might be life forms themselves – meander among the ships of the fleet. This celestial event becomes less innocuous when a wing of Vipers disappears into the vacuum of space without a trace. Apollo leads a search and rescue mission, but all his team finds is an enigmatic man named Count Iblis. He returns to Galactica with them, and immediately begins winning powerful friends among the Colonial fleet…and swaying opinion away from Adama. Adama sends his son back to the planet from which Iblis was rescued to confirm a suspicion, but the Count doesn’t seem to want any investigation into his past – and proves his point by killing Apollo.

Greetings From Earth

Battlestar Galactica (original)A sleeper ship is recovered in deep space, containing six frozen human beings. Given their ship’s primitive technology and unknown origins, it becomes widely speculated that the six humans are from Earth itself, which may be closer than anyone realized. This theory, however, begins to crumble when the humans are revived – and instantly find the atmosphere aboard Galactica poisonous. Worse yet, the rumors of living Earth people are dividing the loyalties of the Colonial fleet, and Adama fears for their safety. Apollo, Cassiopea and Starbuck quietly escort the humans away from the fleet, and ferry them to the planet Paradeen, which was to have been their destination. But their arrival comes too late – all human life on Paradeen has been exterminated, courtesy of a neutron bomb launched by the Eastern Alliance from the humans’ home planet of Terra. When Eastern Alliance soldiers arrive on Paradeen to hunt down the final remaining humans, the Galactica officers get involved in the Terrans’ war – a decision which will shortly prove to be messier than they could ever imagine.
