For some reason tonight, I’m feeling artsy-fartsy and sarcastic. I’m feeling like tipping over apple carts and pissing people off… well, just for the lulz,<\/em> really. Good thing I’m no longer anywhere near a transmitter of any kind!<\/em> <\/p>\n

OH WAIT. HAI, INTERNET!<\/em><\/strong> \ud83d\ude06<\/p>\n

If there’s one thing that irritates me greatly on the book o’ the face, it’s the endlessly repeated meme of posting an image of a box that points toward your profile photo and then says “THIS PERSON BELIEVES THIS! AND IT’S CONTROVERSIAL! CLICK LIKE IF YOU AGREE! AND BUGGER OFF IF YOU DON’T!” It’s like the Internet equivalent of “Honk if you’re happy!”<\/p>\n

Causes are cool. Beliefs are cool, as long as you’re not believing in doing stuff that harms other folks (in which case I have little or no use for you). But there are ways to bring people around to your way of thinking that doesn’t involve waving your beliefs on the end of a 10-foot flagpole, and then going around and stabbing everyone in the eye with that flagpole.<\/em><\/p>\n

So here, grab one of these images and post it as a wall photo on Facebook. Just for laughs. I go to Facebook to chill out and see what cool stuff my friends are up to. I’m a stay-at-home dad, this is as close as I get to going down to the bar and shooting numerous bulls with my buddies, and it’s probably a hell of a lot healthier (just ask the aforementioned bulls). I don’t<\/em> go to Facebook for the equivalent of an unwelcome door-to-door controversial-cause salesman knocking on my door and insisting that I take his free literature and think about which direction my life is headed.<\/p>\n

Maybe these will help people think about that. Or maybe it’ll just piss ’em off real good. In any case… enjoy!<\/p>\n
