I&#8217;ve tried to take this occasion to teach him to cover his mouth when he coughs.  As it so happens, I&#8217;ve come down with this same cough myself, so I&#8217;ve had plenty of occasions to lead by example.  A few times I&#8217;ve covered his mouth to try to reinforce the idea.<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday when I took him to day care, I was signing him in at the front desk when he started coughing.  I gently reminded him that he was forgetting to do something.<\/p>\n<p>So he calmly walked over to me, grabbed my left hand, put it over his mouth &#8211; like I&#8217;d been doing at home &#8211; and coughed.<\/p>\n<p>Well, he was <em>kinda<\/em> getting the idea.
