Gimme a break, I&#8217;m still doing my disturbing victory dance all around the house.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q3-06\/avid1.jpg\" alt=\"Earl's Avid - A WINNER IS ME\" \/><br \/>\nThis is an Avid video editing setup I just won on eBay.  To find out how much I spent on it&#8230;well&#8230;just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/the-avid-auction\/\">go here<\/a> and see for yourself.  It&#8217;s kinda like the very definition of pennies on the dollar.<br \/>\nThis changes the whole picture as far as work goes. Funny thing is, I won&#8217;t need these &#8211; if anyone here needs some gigantinormous 22&#8243; VGA monitors, hit me up.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q3-06\/avid5.jpg\" alt=\"Earl's Avid\" \/><br \/>\nVHS duplication decks.  Some parts of this setup are admittedly a little bit pre-DVD-age, but the editing gear itself is what I&#8217;ve really after.  Not that I can&#8217;t do some business with these, mind you.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q3-06\/avid6.jpg\" alt=\"Earl's Avid\" \/><br \/>\nFairly decent broadcast monitors and a 3-D modeling\/animation software package I&#8217;ve never heard of before.  I suspect it&#8217;s not a patch on Lightwave, but hey, it beats a kick in the nuts.<br \/>\nSo what am I going to do with all this?  There are horse videos waiting to be made.  I can finish the PDF DVD project on my own time.  I can do more Flash video segments on my website (or, dare I say it, for the websites of paying customers).  In fact, I could do a lot of stuff for paying customers.<br \/>\nMaybe so much so that I could do without the station.  (I&#8217;m sure the station could do without me too, but y&#8217;know, the chaos during those first few post-Earl weeks would be entertaining to see&#8230;)<br \/>\nI&#8217;ll be picking this up over Columbus Day weekend.
