For those not in the know, it&#8217;s a horror\/supernatural\/just a little bit of sci-fi type convention, and as usual I was pounding the pavement &#8211; well, the carpet &#8211; well, that sounds way dirtier than I meant it to &#8211; trying to sell copies of VWORP!1.  And there was some <em>awesome<\/em> stuff to see there. <!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Right next to my table was a large display of screen-used props and replicas from Alien and Aliens.  Just beautiful stuff, and not something I ever expected to be staring at all day from a distance of a few feet.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien1.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nYou might think I ogled the space suits (I did)&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien2.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nDown to the newly fitted custom electronics&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien3.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nYou might think all of this awesomeness made me want to self-destruct&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien4.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\n&#8230;not that it did, of course&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien5.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nYou might even think I just needed a hug.  On my face.  (I don&#8217;t.)<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien6.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nHOWDY.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien7.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nBut what dazzled me more than anything?  A fully working, full-size Tom Servo puppet.  Yes, I was in a room all day with Garrett Wang (Star Trek: Voyager), Ed Gale (Child&#8217;s Play) and Matt Frewer&#8230; and I totally geek out over Tom Servo.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelogbook.com\/earl\/hizzouse\/q4-12\/alien8.jpg\" alt=\"Alien ware\" \/><br \/>\nI was, in fact, being a total little kid here.
