Hmmmm. For some reason, aside from it being a sunny day, Xena isn’t in her doghouse. What’s up with that?
Maybe it’s something to do with the little grey cat being in the doghouse…
Obviously, if Xena still has a doghouse, and it’s still on the deck, and she and Chloe are goofing around on the deck, we survived last night’s storm. We did, at one point, get the cats in their carriers and the dog (and ourselves) into the closet, though before hitting the deck I stood outside and took about two minutes of video before hurrying back into the house. This is a frame from that video, illuminated by lightning. (And yeah, we were under a tornado warning at the time and the sirens were going off, almost needless to say.)
By the way, I’ve been on vacation since Wednesday. I had several “missed calls” from the station on my cell phone last night during the bad weather… 🙄
I like the picture of Xena in the foreground and the dog house in the background. Very dramatic and something you’d see in a movie. The depth of field is fanstastic too. Did you use a zoom on that shot or did you use a special lense with a very small apeture? Did it take long to set up that shot or were you lucky?
I’m so full of questions today.
Believe it or not, that was a completely lucky shot I took with my digital camera on its default built-in lens and no special settings. I took two versions – one without the flash, where Xena’s just a silhouette, and one with the flash, which is what you see here.
