Butler did it?
That's what a judge is expected to ask former Witchblade star Yancy Butler at a court
hearing soon, following three violent incidents that occurred this month. In
separate incidents, Butler is accused of assaulting her uncle and her father
(ex-Lovin' Spoonful drummer Joe Butler, who appeared in an episode of
Witchblade's second season with her),
and later she allegedly head-butted a female police officer while in custody.
Police records indicate that Butler was drunk during the incident involving her
father. (Production on Witchblade's second season was stalled even before the
first episode aired when Butler abruptly checked herself into alcohol rehab.)

It waits at the edge of the final frontier.
But most of all, it waits for your DVD player. The first season of the criminally
underappreciated Star Trek spinoff Deep Space
Nine arrives in a 6-DVD box set at the end of February. Featuring
interviews with the cast, writers and crew behind DS9, as well as a focus on the
character and development of Major Kira, the first season of DS9 gives those of
you who thought Voyager was more exciting a chance to atone, and gives those of
us who loved DS9 from the start a good excuse to hold viewing parties. (Not
that we're being opinionated here, mind you.) The complete first season
of DS9 on DVD is now available
for pre-order
from theLogBook.com.

5 tons of spinning DVDs, all alone in the night.
Warner Bros. home video was stunned at the response to the first season DVD box set of Babylon 5, so expect even more goodies from
the season two box set, arriving in
late April. B5 guru J. Michael Straczynski offers his commentary on two
episodes (the season finale The
Coming Of Shadows and Hugo-winning The Fall Of Night) while Bruce
Boxleitner, Jerry Doyle and Claudia Christian do a tag-team commentary on the
fan favorite The Long, Twilight
Struggle. Another new documentary covers the making of the second year,
featuring all-new interviews with Stephen Furst, Mira Furlan, Andrea Thompson
and many others. Babylon 5: The Complete Second Season is now available
for pre-order
from theLogBook.com.

Did I get drunk, or did I get drunk?
You don't need the Holly Hop Drive to climb back aboard the Dwarf, baby. Season 2 of Red
Dwarf is coming soon on DVD, with an unprecedented simultaneous release
in the US and the UK. Featuring all six episodes of the show's second season
(which, technically, aired during the same calendar year as its first season),
and a running commentary on every episode by Craig Charles, Norman Lovett, Danny
John-Jules and Chris Barrie, you can also look for more hidden features, the
complete music soundtrack, and more goodies. Red Dwarf: The Complete Second
Season is now available
for pre-order
from theLogBook.com.

Blake's 6...months into the year now.
A little something from the AAAARRRRRGGGHHH! department for Blake's 7 fans out there: Fabulous Films has
pushed the 5-disc DVD box set of the show's first season back to June 2003.
Now, supposedly every delay means that more goodies have been added to the set,
and we've learned that almost the entire cast has recorded commentaries
(with the very notable exception of Paul Darrow) for several of the 13 episodes
of the first season, and bloopers and other items from such BBC shows as Blue
Peter have been confirmed as bonuses. Now, if only we can get the thing
released! The complete first season of Blake's 7 is still available for
pre-order from theLogBook.com, as presumably it will be for quite some
time...
