Not exactly November sweeps, strictly speaking, this spot was literally produced during the last few hours of, and about an hour or so after, an all-night telethon to raise money for the Red Cross to help relief efforts a few days after Hurricane Katrina. We had done this in January for the Indonesian tsunami relief efforts as well, but Katrina hit closer to home in many ways (Arkansas took on more evacuees than any state other than Texas, and then we wound up with many of the evacuees from Texas who were moved out of harm’s way for Hurricane Rita).
