Glued To The Games
We only did a few stories for July sweeps, and one of them was adapted from a (New Orleans Hearst/Argyle station) WDSU story about video game addiction. I was assigned to do this promo fairly quickly, but there wasn’t much video to use since we literally reused the WDSU package without editing - we even kept their reporter’s voice track. There was some concern voiced that if I went and shot new material from my own collection, the spot would be awkwardly “outdated.” (Just for that, I had some small Space Invaders slide up the side of the screen during the spot and no one said a word. I have no idea why anyone would be concerned…)
