Caught In The Act
The final sweeps story for February 2004 was one of the first times I was able to do virtually an entire spot with footage that month. One of our intrepid reporters “ambushes” people who have parked in handicapped parking spaces without the proper car tags or window stickers. It’s actually fun, though I did have to take the audio out of sync with the video in order to protect the identity of the driver. For the end tag, the handicapped symbol once again came from a dingbat font from FontFreak.com, and that was the only element that needed to come out of the computer this time around. Really. It’s also got a little bit of a false ending to it - the bane of a control room operator’s existence, but plenty of fun for the folks at home.
