His boss covers his return, though, and even plans to blow the rumors of Buck’s death wide open by having him cover Nicolae Carpathia’s first press conference as a nominee for Secretary-General of the United Nations. While Carpathia’s theory on the disappearances is slightly far-fetched, the troubled world is more than ready for his attractive pleas for peace.

Left Behind: An Experience In Sound And DramaBuck travels to London to meet with the investigator who informed him of Dirk’s death, but he finds himself face-to-face not with a tough Scotland Yard cop, but a man who’s scared for his life, claiming that even his own superiors at the Yard would have him killed to keep Dirk’s discoveries under wraps. Buck’s contact tries to get the reporter back out of the country, but a bomb goes off at the airport, and Buck finds himself on the run, with news agencies reporting him dead in the blast.

Left Behind: An Experience In Sound And DramaBuck tries to get in touch with Dirk, a conspiracy-theorist source in London, who claims to have gotten to the bottom of the mass disappearances - but his phone call is answered by an investigator who tells him that Dirk has been murdered. Meanwhile, much to his own amazement, Rayford Steele finds himself being invited to become a leader in Bruce Barnes’ church, and he throws himself into the vacant position with great enthusiasm. However, when it comes time to persuade Chloe to join him, Ray is met once again with her skepticism. How can he point her to a belief that, only too recently, he too believed was a lie?
