Stampede

Well, giddyup, little doggies...or whatever that is that cowboys say. You're trying to rope a herd of pixellated cattle on the ranch, but you have to watch out for obstacles like the occasional cow skull (hey, what the hell kinda ranch is this?). The object of the game is to bag all the beef you can in a limited amount of time. And that's all the moo that's fit to print. Oh...um..."yee-haw." (Activision, 1981)

I've never really gotten into Stampede, what with it being a rather odd video game based upon an activity in which some people engage in real life. (I've never really bought into video sports games for much the same reason.) But apparently quite a few people did get into this game.

Stampede is included in Activision's Playstation emulation of their classic 2600 games.

Rating: Two quarters  Two quarters - worth playing, but could use some more work.
