Sights Of The Expo

The view from the fourteenth floor of the Plaza Hotel in downtown Las Vegas, at
daytime and at nighttime - and minus the dude who was in my room when I got
there. I didn't have to leave my room to see or hear the Fremont Street
Experience either - I couldn't help but see and hear it! Whether I
wanted to or not! But I kid Las Vegas.

From vendors' booths to live music to Bemani competition, a little something for
everyone. As much as some complain about their prices,
Atari2600.com had some
excellent deals - though they did have some dizzyingly stratospheric prices on
other items. (I really want that Ralph Baer-autographed Odyssey2 Pinball
cart, but I couldn't justify blowing $110 on it.)

This beauty of a self-contained Videopac (the European version of the
O2) appeared in Atari2600.com's booth on Sunday.
Yowzah. They had lots of creamy Videopac goodness, and I did take them
up on some of the European-exclusive titles.

Michael Thomasson dishes out some ColecoVision
homebrews - including one major surprise release - from the Good Deal Games booth.

The Zaxxon cabinet everyone was lusting
after for the entirety of the show. The Pinball Hall Of Fame was
giving it away as part of a charity raffle, or you could choose a pinball table,
a Polaris cabaret cabinet, or, added Sunday, Super Mario
Bros. I just had to test Zaxxon, and graced it with my signature
"PDF"...until the machine later had to be unplugged for some reason!
