South Park: Chef's Luv Shack

Chef's got his own cable access game show where eligible bachelorettes
can compete for his affections! However, in the total absence of
eligible bachelorettes, Kyle, Stan, Kenny and Cartman have shown up
to play the game. They answer three rounds of Who Wants
To Be A Millionaire-style trivia (only much more scatological than Regis
usually gets) and then go into a randomly-selected "mini-game." To
the victor goes the Cheesy Poofs!
(Acclaim Studios Austin, 1999)

This hysterically funny party game is a hit around the Green household.
Now, just the presence of the words "South Park" will very likely tell
you that this isn't a game to get for your kids. With that in mind,
it's still a good game.
For those who are wondering why this Pixel Fiction
entry is also a Phosphor Dot Fossil, it's because Chef's Luv Shack is
a virtual cornucopia of made-over arcade classics! I'm not kidding!
Check out the screen shots! The "Bad Kitty" game, in which you help
Cartman's much-put-upon family cat climb ladders to steal the rotund
one's Cheesy Poofs and pot pies, is obviously a Donkey Kong retread.
The "Bugs At The Picnic" stage is a Galaga rip, and "Snow Forts" is
a very thinly-disguised homage to Warlords.
"Asses In Space" is a makeover of Asteroids, substituting flaming butts
for spaceborne rocks. Several games, ranging from "Stampede" to
"Tug-Oh-War," require the kind of fast button action that makes or
breaks Track and Field stars.
Chef's Luv Shack is a hoot throughout, with tons of rude but hilarious
sound clips from the four main characters (as well as Isaac Hayes as
Chef himself). An almost disturbingly chirpy announcer's voice guides
you on your journey to fame, fortune and flatulence. For those who are
actually devoted South Park fans (such as a certain Mrs. Green), this
game also has the most references to the TV show of any South Park game
out there.
If you desperately need a South Park fix to challenge your mind as well as
the limits of good taste,
you definitely owe it to yourself to pick up Chef's Luv Shack.
