VWORP! – from the files of theLogBook.com – coming soon!

VWORP!
VWORP!theLogBook.com Media is proud to announce the first book project from the files of theLogBook.com: VWORP!: The New Series Fan’s Guide To Classic Doctor Who (and Vice Versa). Written by theLogBook.com webmaster and head writer Earl Green, VWORP! is an unauthorized chronicle of the classic BBC science fiction TV series Doctor Who, also covering spinoffs such as audio dramas, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. (The book’s title refers to a bit of onomatopoeia specific to Doctor Who, describing – as much as anyone can describe – the sound of the Doctor’s alien time machine.)

Each story is covered in-depth, along with a review which concentrates on which classic series (1963-1989) episodes might appeal to fans of the new series (2005-present)…and vice versa. Behind-the-scenes information, and “timeline” information designed to help fans piece together Doctor Who’s complex and ever-expanding continuity, are included with each entry.

VWORP! is but the first book project in the works based on the material and research from theLogBook.com, which celebrates 20 years online in 2009. Current plans call for VWORP! to be available via Lulu.com, while signed copies will be available directly from theLogBook.com Media.

Phosphor Dot Fossils Level 2 now available!

Phosphor Dot Fossils Level 2After its debut at the 2009 Oklahoma Electronic Game Expo in Oklahoma City, Phosphor Dot Fossils Level 2 is now available for the general public to order! This new 3-hour-long DVD covers more areas of video game history that weren’t covered in the first Phosphor Dot Fossils DVD – no material is duplicated. Also, by popular request, Level 2 reaches further in the NES era, covering some of the most influential games (and a few dark horse contenders) of 1987. The DVD overall has improved picture and sound quality from the first volume, as well as the same easy-to-navigate menu system allowing instant access to any item on the entire DVD.

Phosphor Dot Fossils Brown Box CollectionAlso available is the Phosphor Dot Fossils Brown Box Collection. For those who haven’t ordered the first volume yet, the Brown Box contains both the first volume and Level 2 in one convenient and affordable package with a very different and classy look hearkening back to the woodgrain-and-punch-labels look of the original Brown Box – the late ’60s prototype for the first home video game console, the Odyssey.

Both Level 2 and the Brown Box Collection can be ordered from this page. The original Phosphor Dot Fossils DVD can still be ordered by itself from this page.

All DVDs are region-free NTSC discs; each volume runs approximately 3 hours.
