Coming Home

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena, Gabrielle and Eve are traveling through Amazon territory as they discuss the reason Ares has summoned them. When they reach the top of a hill, they see that some of the forest has been burned. Before they can determine what may have caused the damage, they hear yells in the near distance. The trio discover Amazons fighting a group of soldiers. Xena and Gabrielle join the fight, with Eve only fighting defensively. The soldiers soon retreat from the area. The Queen of the Amazons, Marga, introduces herself and her second in command, Varia. When Xena introduces herself, Marga says that she’s heard that Xena can kill gods. She hopes it’s true, because there is one more who needs to be stopped: Ares.

Heart Of Darkness

Xena: Warrior PrincessThe Archangels Michael and Raphael are discussing what to do about making Xena take Mephistopheles’ place as the ruler of Hell when another Archangel, Lucifer, comes to them and says he’ll take care of Xena. Michael decides to give him the chance to try.

In Amphipolis, Gabrielle and Eve are talking about the fact that the hole opened by Mephistopheles seems to be waiting for something. As they talk, Lucifer appears. He tells them that they’d better hurry and go say goodbye to Xena – before he sends her to Hell.

The Haunting Of Amphipolis

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena is telling Eve how much she’ll love her grandmother and Amphipolis as they ride into the village. But to their surprise, Amphipolis appears to be deserted and run down. They enter Cyrene’s inn and find that it’s abandoned. As Xena and Gabrielle look around, a man with a torch suddenly appears near Eve. He calls for someone and two men drag a woman down the stairs. The woman seems to pass through Eve. When Xena and Gabrielle return she tells them that she has seen her grandmother and tells them that she’s dead. Xena decides to head to the mausoleum to see if she can find answers to what is going on.

Who’s Gurkhan?

Xena: Warrior PrincessGabrielle is happy to see that Poteidaia is a thriving village, but is a bit apprehensive about approaching her house. Eve says that as long as the people inside are okay, she has nothing to worry about. Xena encourages her to go ahead while she, Eve, and Virgil wait. Before Gabrielle can knock on the door, it’s opened by her sister, Lila. The reunion is bittersweet when Lila says that a raider named Gurkhan kidnapped her daughter, Sarah, eight years ago. And that when their parents learned where she was, they sold much of their farm and went with Lila’s husband to retrieve Sarah – but Gurkhan had them killed. Xena promises Gabrielle that they will go after her niece. Gabrielle says that this will be more than a rescue mission. She wants vengeance for her parents’ murders.

Legacy

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle are traveling through a desert when they get caught in a sandstorm. They manage to find a grotto where they seek shelter and clean up. When the storm dies down, they hear the sound of fighting nearby. A group of nomads on horseback are attacking a smaller group of people on foot. Xena decides that they should even the odds and soon, the nomads that were attacking are in retreat. But the people they’ve helped aren’t very friendly to them, particularly when they hear Gabrielle call Xena by name. The leader says that she can’t be Xena because she’s long dead. The warrior proves herself when she demonstrates her skill with her chakram – and to Xena’s surprise, the people bow to her.

The Abyss

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle return from a hunting to trip to find Virgil and his friend Hosep have disappeared. Gabrielle notices that there’s a lot of blood around the camp, and Xena finds a stick with a human skull on it. But she believes that Virgil and Hosep escaped down the river. They return to their own canoe to search for their friends, but soon have to return to shore again to escape a waterfall. Back on land, they fight a pack of savages, and Gabrielle is stabbed then thrown into the river during the fight. Now Xena is not only trying to find what happened to Virgil, but fighting to keep her friend alive as well.

The Rheingold

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle are eating dinner in a tavern, when Xena notices a man watching them. She asks why he’s watching them and he comes over to their table and introduces himself as Beowulf. Xena asks what he’s there for and he places a rusty lock on their table. The warrior looks at the lock for a moment and then tells Gabrielle that she needs to talk to Beowulf. Later in their room, Xena is reluctant to tell Gabrielle about what she discussed with Beowulf. The bard assures her that she doesn’t need to know everything – but the next morning, Gabrielle awakens to find Xena gone, and a note on her bed.

The Ring

Xena: Warrior PrincessGabrielle, Beowulf and Brunhilda search for Xena in the woods that Grendel hunts in. They find blood on a tree, with one of the warriors’ gauntlets nearby – and Beowulf says this is where Xena died. Gabrielle says, “No, this is where she got away.” She thinks they should split up and sets off on her own. As she’s searching, someone suddenly grabs Gabrielle. It’s Xena, but Grendel is close by and they have to keep quiet. As they watch the monster, they can hear Beowulf calling for the bard in the distance…

The Return Of The Valkyrie

Xena: Warrior PrincessA year has passed and Gabrielle is still sleeping in the ring of fire that Brunhilda turned herself into. Some men approach the ring, with their leader determined to free her. Beowulf is also there and tells Lord Erick there is no way for anyone to enter the flames unless they are Gabrielle’s true soulmate and displays his burned hand as proof. He also warns that there is something else that Erick should be aware of: Grinhilda. The Valkyrie is still a monster and attacks the men. Beowulf tells Erick he should call off his men, but he won’t listen. He runs toward the ring of fire and is consumed by the flames. Seeing their leader killed and knowing they won’t survive Grinhilda’s attack, the others retreat. Beowulf tells his friend Wiglaf that he’s returning to Denmark to seek the help of King Hrothgar. In Hrothgar’s palace they learn that the King is about to be married to a woman named Welthea. Wiglaf says that’s not a Norse name. Beowulf says no, but that it sounds Celtic. They turn to watch as the bride is escorted into the room, and Beowulf recognizes her as Xena.

Old Ares Had A Farm

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle have stopped in a tavern to eat, when the warrior notices some men seated at a nearby table that seem familiar. She goes to question one of them, but he doesn’t want to tell her anything until she puts her pinch on him. He tells Xena that they’ve united under the warlord Gasgar to go after Ares now that he’s mortal. They want revenge on the former god of war for double crossing them.

Away from the village, Ares is walking alone when a man appears and says he’s there to collect the bounty. But before he can do anything, Xena and Gabrielle appear and the man retreats. Ares tells them that he’s been having people want to fight him a lot lately. Xena fills him on how the warlords want his head and tells him he should go undercover. The former god of war says he’d been thinking about becoming a king or a priest. But that’s not what Xena had in mind – she thinks he’d be better off hiding out on a farm.

Dangerous Prey

Xena: Warrior PrincessAfter recieving an intivitation from Queen Marga, Xena and Gabrielle arrive in Amazon territory to find that she is missing. Varia isn’t happy to see them and thinks they should leave. Xena offers to hunt for the missing Queen. Gabrielle stays behind with the other Amazons. The warrior finds Marga, who has been seriously injured. The dying Queen asks Xena to look out for Varia. She thinks the young Amazon will be a good leader, but still has much to learn. Varia finds them just as the Queen dies. Xena notices that someone has carved a message into Marga’s leg. It seems that someone has decided to hunt the Amazons for sport.

You Are There

Xena: Warrior PrincessXena and Gabrielle are walking through a field littered with bodies when the Archangel Michael appears. He tells them that Caligula is behind all of this carnage and that he will kill anyone who will not join his cult of blood, particularly the followers of Eli. Xena realizes that Eve must have headed to Rome and threatens Michael, saying that if she can kill gods then she can probably kill Angels too.

In Rome, Caligula is showing off his immortality to the people to gain their loyalty. When he learns who Eve is, he plans to throw her in jail. But before he can a woman comes riding up in a chariot. It’s Xena and she’s prepared to kill him. Just as she’s about to strike, though, Ares knocks her down, saying that if Xena kills Caligula, she’ll kill Aphrodite too.

Path Of Vengeance

Xena: Warrior PrincessVaria has gathered the queens from the scattered tribes of the Amazon nation to meet and discuss plans of unification. A messenger arrives and tells them that Roman soldiers have been spotted in their territory. Varia decides the Amazons should attack them.

Eve is also in Amazon territory and the Romans find her. The captain tells her that the Emperor has sent them to protect her. She tries to send them away when the Amazons surround them and attack.

In a village nearby, Gabrielle has been trying to find a place for Xena and herself to stay, but says that nobody has room for them because of the Romans passing through. A Roman soldier stumbles into the village and tells them that Amazons attacked him and the troops he was with. He also tells them that the Romans were there to protect Eve.

To Helicon And Back

Xena: Warrior PrincessGabrielle joins in the celebration of Varia becoming Queen of the Amazons, while Xena camps nearby. Men with their faces painted blue begin to attack under the cover of an eclipse, led by a man wearing a mask. Xena joins the Amazons in fighting them. During the fight, the leader grabs Varia and rides off, while his men retreat. Xena recognizes that a weapon left behind by the men comes from Helicon. The other queens think that someone from Greece should lead in their rescue of Varia. Gabrielle thinks Xena should do it, but they will only listen to another Amazon queen – and Xena says that means Gabrielle.
