My compliments to the chef…. or… the sun.

Little E didn’t believe I could just stick some blobs of cookie dough on a pan on my dashboard and actually have them turn into cookies.

So on Wednesday, which was almost the hottest day of the year so far, we tried it.

Here they were starting out. Refrigerated cookie dough blobs.

One hour later.

Two hours later, right around afternoon naptime, we took them inside.

They were kind of “gooey” – it wasn’t quite hot enough – but Little E thought they were still plenty yummy. We’ll try some solar cookies from Dad’s Dashboard Diner again in the coming weeks as it gets hotter than hell.

Please remember not to leave your children or pets in a hot car. They turn gooey too.
