Another giant step

 

Tonight, Evan is sleeping in the big boy bed for the first time.

He seems to be doing OK – falling asleep with a full belly and a book for company is very, very daddy.

And he’s sleeping very soundly for his first night in the big boy bed…

…watched over by a faithful friend.

Wow, he’s growing so fast. He says “please” (or, to be more specific, “pease”) and “thanks”; he knows the names of his favorite foods, he can have yes/no conversations with us. Sometimes I’m still amazed at the thought that I, of all people, had anything to do with making this little guy happen. He’s such an improvement on the old model.
