    Just about all modern anime traces its DNA to Evangelion and Serial Experiments Lain, it seems, unless it’s a consciously retro piece such as Space Battleship Yamato 2199, which has to hearken back to the original show’s post-apocalyptic look, ergo, no power lines. 😆 I had never even noticed this before. I guess it’d be like showing American street signs.
