…soooooo…they’ll be huge and overpriced, right? [LINK]

McFarlane Toys has signed a toy license deal with CBS Consumer Products to create figures, role play weapons and accessories for the Star Trek: Discovery TV series.

In addition, McFarlane Toys will also create merchandise from the entire Star trek universe, ranging from the classic Star Trek: The Original Series to its popular movie franchise.

The initial line will highlight two of the most iconic characters from the Star Trek universe with articulated seven-inch figures of USS Enterprise Captain James T. Kirk from The Original Series and USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D Captain Jean-Luc Picard from The Next Generation.

Various characters from the highly-anticipated Star Trek: Discovery TV series and other adaptations will follow.

Mcfarlane’s Star Trek toys will be available in the spring of 2018 at major retailers worldwide.

I’d be really happy if they’d ditch their usual overpriced, at-least-7″-scale stuff and revisit the 4″ scale of the 1990s Playmates figures that covered every Trek series except Enterprise. Buuuut…that’s not gonna happen, is it?
