The 588th episode of Doctor Who airs on BBC1. This story, in keeping with the 20th season’s theme of revisiting past stories, brings back both the Brigadier (intended to be schoolteacher Ian Chesterton in the earliest script drafts) and the Black Guardian. Mark Strickson joins the cast as new companion Turlough; Nicholas Courtney returns as the Brigadier and Valentine Dyall guest stars as the Black Guardian.
